Drs. Eric Wisotzky and Jennifer Hankenson interview Drs. Marissa Pavlinich and Danielle Perret Karimi regarding their AAP position statement: Physiatry, Pain Management, and the Opioid Crisis. Drs. Pavlinich and Perret Karimi were the lead authors of this AAP position statement. In it, they make a case for more research into non-pharmacological pain interventions and more funding for physiatry residency programs. This position statement is published in the November 2018 issue of the American Journal of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.

Dr. Pavlinich is a PGY-4 Resident at University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and Dr. Perret Karimi is an Associate Clinical Professor in PM&R at The University of California, Irvine.
