Pdf Summary
A study investigated the relationship between clinical and psychological variables and mental imagery ability in individuals with spinal cord injury (SCI). The study found that mental imagery scores were significantly lower in individuals with cervical injuries compared to thoracic injuries. Higher levels of spinal injuries and completeness of injury were also associated with lower mental imagery scores. The presence of stress and depression was associated with reduced efficiency of mental imagery. The study suggests that injury type and psychological factors should be considered when designing imagery-based interventions for SCI patients.
